How long does the install actually take?
Most window jobs take 1–2 days of actual install work once we’re on site. Lead times vary by season and product availability — we’ll give you a firm timeline before you sign anything.
What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?
There is a manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty that covers eligible manufacturing defects. If a covered issue occurs such as seal failure, a mechanical issue, or a frame defect the manufacturer will provide the replacement product in accordance with the warranty terms. We can assist with the warranty service and replacement process; however, the homeowner is responsible for the applicable service call fee.
Are your installers really employees, not subs?
Yes. Every installer on every job is a W-2 employee of Polk County Window & Door. We do not subcontract our installations. Having our own dedicated installation team allows us to maintain consistent standards and stand behind the quality of our work. And if you ever need us down the road, you know exactly who to call.
Are the impact windows really hurricane-rated?
Yes. Our impact-rated windows meet Florida’s hurricane code and Miami-Dade approval Missile D rated glass to ensure your safety. Most Homeowners qualify for an insurance discount after install. You will have all documentation needed for submittal once install is completed
How much does it typically cost?
Every home is different depending on the number of windows, glass type, frame style, accessibility. We won’t pretend there’s a one-size-fits-all number. A standard 8-window vinyl replacement typically runs $8K–$15K. Impact-rated installs run higher. The in-home quote is free, written, and you decide from there.
