How long does the install actually take?
Most window jobs take 1–2 days of actual install work once we’re on site. The full timeline — measurement, manufacturing, delivery, install — is typically 4–6 weeks. Florida Rooms run longer, usually 6–10 weeks. We’ll give you a firm timeline before you sign anything.
What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?
Two separate warranties. The first is from Simonton (our window manufacturer) and covers product defects for life. The second is ours and covers our installation work for life. If a window fails, a seal breaks, a frame warps, or our install caused an issue — we fix it. No deductible. No expiring fine print.
Are your installers really employees, not subs?
Yes. Every installer on every job is a W-2 employee of Polk County Window and Door®. We don’t subcontract. That’s why our quality is consistent and why you can call the same crew years later if anything comes up.
Are the impact windows really hurricane-rated?
Yes. Our PGT impact-rated windows meet Florida’s hurricane code and Miami-Dade approval — tested to withstand large-missile impact at over 200 mph. Most homeowners qualify for an insurance discount after install. We’ll help you submit the paperwork.
How much does it typically cost?
Every home is different — number of windows, glass type, frame style, accessibility — so we won’t pretend there’s a one-size-fits-all number. A standard 8-window vinyl replacement typically runs $8K–$15K. Impact-rated installs run higher. On 0% APR financing, that often works out to $89–$199/month. The in-home quote is free, written, and you decide from there.
